TIPS FOR ENJOYING PLAYGROUP
The aim is for adults and children to enjoy being together. Please introduce yourself to the Play Leaders on your first visit. When signing in make a name tag for your child so he/she can be called by their name: they like this and it helps the play leaders and others learn their names.
SUPERVISION It is not the Play Leader's job to look after the children. The Play Leader's are there to facilitate play and all supervision is the responsibilty of parents and carers.
WEAR OLD CLOTHES Messy activities are an important part of children's play. Painting smocks are available.
PARTICIPATION During the singing session, we encourage adults to participate in the session and help the little ones if needed. During the story time, adult supervision is necessary so help can be provided for unsettled children and the session can be enjoyed by everyone.
PACKING UP Packing up is a group activity and occurs around 12 pm (before parachute time). Your help is needed and appreciated. It is also great role modeling for your children. Indoor activity items (eg puzzles, trains etc) are to be kept in their area so they remain intact.
FOOD & DRINKS Tea & coffee facilities are available for adults (50 cents/cup). Please wash and dry your cup. Please keep children's food and drink outside.
PRAMS Prams need to be left outside.
PARKING Parking is available in the Ridge Street car park. There are concessions for Playgroup users. Simply bring your token from the car park and swipe it when you register for each session.
