About the tutor

Daxa Chauhan

With over 35 years in the hospitality industry, I have worked as a Chef in various capacities, from owning cafés and managing restaurants to overseeing catering companies and function centres.

My passion for teaching led me to transition into a training role 10 years ago, where I focus on sharing my knowledge to help others advance their careers. To support this, I obtained professional training qualifications and developed a strong understanding of ASQA Standards.

I have worked with various training organisations and am passionate about making education engaging and practical. I enjoy transforming theoretical concepts into real-life applications, ensuring training is inspiring, interactive, and relevant.

My previous role with NSW Correctional Services, where I delivered training in Café Skills, Kitchen Skills, Business Management, and Food Safety to inmates, was a particularly rewarding experience. Seeing the impact of my teaching firsthand has reinforced my commitment to education and helping others achieve their goals.
